Turmeric has a similar flavor to ginger, but with less bite or sweetness. It is used quite often in Indian dishes and blends. It can be used for its vibrant color, but use with caution as too much can make a dish bitter. Turmeric is also believed to have some medicinal properties.
Use in curry sauces and powders. Add to relishes, mustards and meat and lentil dishes
