Hibiscus is an edible flower, also known as flores de jamaica, that is used as a garnish in Mexican cooking. It is also used to make a bright, ruby-red tea with a tart, cranberry-like flavor. Hibiscus flowers are sometimes used for their medicinal properties.
Use to make tea, with or without sugar. Or flash-fry to make a vibrant, crisp and tart garnish.
