Fennel - Ground
Fennel is an aromatic, anise-like spice, often used in Tuscan cooking. It adds an Italian flair to many dishes, but is seen in many dishes from around the world. Fennel is also believed to have medicinal properties.
Use in meatloaf, sausage or meatballs to add authentic Italian flavor. It can also be used on fish for a French flair, in Greek breads or in Chinese chicken dishes. Fennel can be substituted for anise.
