Ancho Chiles are dried poblano peppers. Ancho Chiles have a mild heat and a sweet and rich flavor that is most often showcased in Mexican cuisine. The whole chiles are approximately 4-6 inches long and 2-4 inches wide.
Use in enchilada sauce, mole or chili. The whole chiles can be soaked in hot water for approximately 30 minutes to reconstitute.
