Cayenne is a red, hot chili pepper used to give heat to many dishes. Commonly referred to as ground red pepper, it adds little flavor, but gives a nice punch to almost any dish. It even has some health benefits.
Use in hot sauces, meats, vegetables, beans, eggs or even hot cocoa. Or just sprinkle cayenne on food in place of regular pepper.
