Aleppo chilies have a sweet, sharp taste that add a Mediterranean flavor to any dish. They are often described as having a slighty fruity aroma and moderate, slow-building heat allows other flavors of the dish to come through. Aleppo is also known as the Halaby pepper.
Use to season red meats, soups or add a little heat to any Mediterranean or Middle Eastern dish. Aleppo can also be used as a substitute for paprika or crushed red pepper.
