African Bird Pepper is a hot chili from Africa, also known as Mombasa.  Hotter and more flavorful than regular cayenne pepper, it can be used to season just about anything that needs a little kick.  Very popular in Portuguese dishes, African Bird is often used, not just for its great flavor, but for its many health benefits.

USES:

Use to season meats, beans, rice, soups or anything that needs a kick.  Great for steaming crabs, or simply use it as a replacement for ground pepper.
