Spearmint, with its sweet and cooling properties, is often used in savory dishes, whereas its menthol cousin, peppermint, is often used in baking.  Spearmint is especially common in the Balkans and Middle East.  It also makes a lovely and sweet caffeine free tea.


Use on grilled meats, especially lamb; rice, yogurt dressings, soups, dips and stuffed vegetables.  Brew as you would any other tea.
