Cardamom Pods, Green

Green Cardamom Pods have a strong, unique taste and an aromatic fragrance. Green Cardamom is often used in Indian dishes and sometimes in Nordic baked goods, due to the spicy-sweet flavor.  The seeds inside stay fresh longer due to the protective pod.  Cardamom is also known to have some medicinal qualities.

USES:

Use in sweet dishes, such as Finnish sweet bread or in Indian meat and vegetable dishes.  Also use in drinks such as Middle Eastern coffee or tea.
